Shanna Hogan is an award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling true-crime author.

Her latest book on the Martin MacNeill case in Utah, “The Stranger She Loved: A Mormon Doctor, His Beautiful Wife, and an Almost Perfect Murder,” is now available in hardcover.

Her book on the high-profile Jodi Arias case, “Picture Perfect: The Jodi Arias Story,” is currently available on paperback. The hardcover version, released in September 2013 by St. Martin’s Press, was a New York Times best-seller.

Her first book, “Dancing with Death: The True Story of a Glamorous Showgirl, Her Wealthy Husband and a Horrifying Murder,” was released in 2011.

Shanna has written for numerous publications for nearly a decade and has received more than twenty awards for her feature writing and investigative reporting. She was named Journalist of the Year by the Arizona Press Club in 2010 and again in 2011 by the Arizona Newspaper Association.

Shanna has appeared on The View, Dateline, 20/20, CNN, HLN, Fox News, Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen, and Investigation Discovery. In addition, she is a professor of journalism at Arizona State University.

Shanna lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband, Matt LaRussa, and their three dogs.
